Honeypot Children’s Charity
Since 1996 Honeypot has been working to enhance the lives of young carers and vulnerable children aged 5-12 years old. They are the only charity to provide respite breaks and on-going outreach support throughout a child’s formative years. Honeypot gives young carers a break from demanding and stressful responsibilities at home and provides a safe, nurturing environment where children-at-risk can develop their full potential. The Honeypot Children’s Charity vision is “for every child to make the most of their one chance at childhood”. With your support, Honeypot helps up to 1,000 children per year by providing respite breaks in both Hampshire and Wales, where they have recently opened their second Honeypot House. Additionally, through community days on the Playbus, Honeypot visit up to 3,000 children.
Managing Director of Morley Stores, David Hordle, visited the ‘Honeypot House’ with our Store Charity Champions in Hampshire on Wednesday 21st June. The reason for the visit was two-fold, firstly to get to know the charity better, and secondly to present a cheque for £35,000 representing the monies raised by Morleys Stores Group last year.
